There are some interesting developments going on in my friends’ romantic lives. Some good, some bad. At first I was a little frustrated that NOTHING ever happens to me in that way, but now a different feeling has overtaken it. I realised that if I made Yahweh my real Mr Right then I would feel a lot happier. Now, I’m wary of this sounding creepy (haha) but it’s true – until I find someone of marriage-standard it’s not worth getting worked up over relationships. Until then, the only relationship I should really be concerned about is with the Lover of my Soul. My only question is, why has it taken me so long to figure this out?

I am so grateful to be His daughter! Soon I will be attending university – less than a year away now! I am looking forward to it, though I am now less certain of where I will be going. My open day at a London university this week was disappointing, so I am now considering more seriously the other universities I have applied to, particularly Winchester. I have experienced a lot of uncertainty lately, but His name is Faithful and True, and I know that the Most High, the mighty Yehovah of Israel works for my good in all things. I had a Word given to me a while ago, that Yehovah would show me something really special at university – and He always keeps His promises!

Wow!

Late last night, I was researching Messianic meetings in London for when I move there next year – lo and behold, one in my town (which is small and has no significant Jewish population) comes up on the website! It was too late to post here, but I was amazed! I’ve contacted the person who holds the meetings in the hope that I may be able to attend – let’s hope I can!

The worldliness of the mainstream Christian church is very disheartening to me, at the moment. Within my own church for example, the Twilight books are popular with a number of girls – and even mothers, who should know better! It isn’t just the occult subject of the books, but the unhealthy infatuation with teen romances that I think they encourage. They certainly do not inspire young ladies to be Yehovah-honouring maidens, but rather caught up in the fleeting (and futile) pleasures of the world. I have tried to get the Twilight fans to understand, but all I get is ‘oh Jade, you are so silly! It’s just a book!’. Well, if I am silly by their standards, let me be silly! Or better yet, let me:

not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of [my] mind, that by testing [I] may discern what is the will of [Yehovah], what is good and acceptable and perfect.

link purge

Just a quick note to say that I have deleted quite a lot of links from my sidebar – it doesn’t mean that I hate all those sites! The links are mostly for me so that I have quick links to my favourite blogs, and the ones I have deleted are (mostly) good blogs that I simply haven’t had time to keep up with. Sorry if I deleted yours – it’s not meant personally. You can find a long list of great blogs at Feelin’ Feminine, which you can find via the button in my sidebar.

Thanks!

Decisions, decisions…

From over a week of inactivity to three posts in a day! Don’t worry, this is fairly brief. This morning, I found a little lump in my chest – now, I am sure it’s nothing to worry about as that area can often be lumpy but to be on the safe side I am going to my doctor as soon as possible. Thank goodness for the NHS! However, it got me thinking – what if it is serious? What if I am really ill? What impact would that have on my life? My wonderful old youth leader had a phrase which I always remember: ‘if you were arrested for being a Christian, would there be enough evidence to convict you?’ Now I don’t need to point out that we should all, as Christians, be aiming for a resounding yes! However, do we ever get there?

Finding that lump made me resolve, more than ever, to get to the stage where the judge and jury could prove ‘beyond reasonable doubt’ that I was a daughter of the King – whether by the music I listen to, the clothes I wear, my relationships with others. What about you?

On this day…

On this day in 1941, Jewish people inside the Nazi German ‘Reich’ are required to wear a yellow star to identify them.

Is the fact that this event coincides with the Feast of Trumpets, also known as Rosh Hoshana, mere coincidence? I think not.

This article is most illuminating as to the Satanic origins of Anti-Semitism, or hatred of the Jews. Sadly many modern Christians have fallen for this trap, but it is up to us who know the Truth to tell them of how in reality, we are not simply Gentiles but part of God’s Holy People Israel!

From tonight I will be house-sitting for a family from church. I am very excited as their house is literally across the road from the beach, and I plan on having my Quiet Times there on the beach. I’m not sure if they have internet or not, so there probably will not be a Sunday Psalm this week.

If like me you spent quite a lot of time online, you’ll understand that sometimes you need a break from computers, and I feel like this week will be a much-needed rest. I plan on relaxing and reading the Word and Christian books a lot more, and I pray that I will spend lots of time just at the feet of Jesus. I’m really looking forward to it!

Please continue to remember my friend B, who is planning on having an abortion, in your prayers – thank you so much for this.
